Man Barbershop Academy may grant an authorized Leave of Absence (LOA) as a temporary interruption in a student's program of study. During an approved LOA, the student is not in attendance but is not considered withdrawn from the institution. An LOA may be granted only when the institution has a reasonable expectation that the student will return.
An LOA may be granted for documented and reasonable circumstances including, but not limited to:
A student requesting an LOA must submit the request in writing, including the reason for the leave and the student's signature, whenever possible in advance of the leave. The institution may require supporting documentation. If unforeseen circumstances prevent advance notice, the institution may grant the LOA retroactively with appropriate documentation.
A student will not be granted an LOA if the requested leave, together with any prior LOAs, exceeds a total of 180 calendar days in any 12-month period.
A student will be withdrawn if the student takes an unapproved LOA or fails to return by the expiration of an approved LOA. The withdrawal date for refund calculation purposes will be the student's last date of attendance.
⚠ Important: Submitting this form does not automatically approve your leave. Your request will be reviewed by the School Director. You will receive a written decision. Do not stop attending until your LOA is formally approved — unapproved absence may result in withdrawal.
